We are currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying, pursuing, and converting new opportunities across multiple industries. This role requires a creative thinker with the ability to develop out-of-the-box strategies to secure new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential clients and markets through research, cold calling, networking, and online outreach.
- Follow up on leads over the phone and via email, educating and nurturing prospective candidates to secure interest.
- Build a robust sales pipeline through various channels, including LinkedIn, networking events, BNI’s and industry referrals.
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Explore different industries and adapt strategies if a particular sector is not yielding results.
- Stay informed about market trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and industry professionals.
- Attend networking events, industry conferences, and trade shows to promote the company’s services and stay current on industry trends and developments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a strong client experience throughout the sales process.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for business growth.
- Stay up-to-date with competitor activities and industry developments.
- Provide regular daily reports on sales activity, pipeline progress, and conversion metrics.
- Ensure all activities are documented in the CRM system.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably with UK clients.
- Valid UK driving licence and the ability to drive across England.
- Strong cold calling and networking skills.
- Consistently have the desire to strike up conversations with new individuals daily, regardless of rejection.
- Ability to network and make new connections.
- Adaptable, resilient, and target-driven.
- Proven sales professional experience with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to think creatively and develop out-of-the-box strategies.
- Proven track record of managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and onboarding.
- Adaptability to target new industries as business needs evolve.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
